Both before a child enters a new home and after, there is progress and setback, challenge and reward, celebration and grief. The positive in not instantaneous and the negative does not last forever, but it all has a place in the family story.
We strive to offer education, events and support for all members of the the adoption circle, We believe that education will empower families and individuals to succeed. We also believe that interaction with professionals, such as educators, counselors and medical professionals, and non-professionals, such as extended family, friends and community, can offer the validation, insight, encouragement and resources necessary to face and overcome the challenges of being a member of the adoption circle.
Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota works in partnership with Children's Home of Minnesota to provide quality support and education for all members of the adoption community. Unless otherwise noted, opportunities are open to all individuals,regardless of placing agency.
