Why Choose LSS of MN to
Facilitate your Adoption from Colombia?
With over 20 years of experience
uniting children and families through this program, we bring a
wealth of skills and knowledge to assist you in your adoption
process. We work with both private and government-run orphanages
in Colombia.
Experience: LSS of MN has
been building families through adoption for more than 140 years.
Knowledge: Our program
includes staff members who have adopted from, traveled to, and
lived in Colombia. Your adoption worker will work in partnership
with the International Adoption Program Coordinator to help
guide you through the paperwork and prepare you for your trip to
bring your child home.
Dedication: LSS of MN
works in partnerships with three private adoption orphanages and
the government-run system (ICBF) to provide children in need of
families with loving adoptive parents.
Community: Once you have
arrived home, we will help connect you with a variety of
resources that help adopted children and their families learn
more about the Colombian heritage. Such resources include LSS of
MN’s annual Latin American families picnic, La Semana culture
camps, and language villages.
The ideal families for this
program:
- Possess the ability to
maintain a flexible and positive attitude throughout the
process.
- Have previous travel
experience OR an adventurous spirit and a desire to travel
abroad
- Will embrace and respect
cultural differences during adoption travel
