Getting Started

Information Meetings
These meetings are free of charge, and families are not required to register with LSS Adoption to attend. You will meet with agency staff to explore adoption procedures and processes in more detail, and hear about children who are waiting for families, and programs accepting applications. The timing of application and placement for each program will be explained and you'll receive information on LSS programs and guidelines. Information meetings are held in Minneapolis, Mankato, Duluth, St. Cloud, and Moorhead. Individual meetings can be arranged to suit your needs. Additional information meetings are also held in non-LSS locations as listed.

The workshop covers topics such as Attachment, Grief & Loss, Institutionalization, Cross Cultural Issues and Open Adoption. Included is a panel presentation composed of adoptive parents, adopted adults and birth parents.
