Domestic Adoption - Out of State Agencies Seeking Adoption Services for Clients at LSS

We understand that families at times choose to work with an adoption agency in another state in a potential adoption situation. LSS works collaboratively with agencies in another state that an adoptive family has identified as a resource in their adoption plan. We work very closely and cooperatively with the agency in another state to offer the best possible adoption experience, including ICPC*.

  • LSS will consult with the agency in another state regarding the specifics in their adoption situation and the adoption services required to meet the needs of their adoption situation.
     
  • LSS will work with the family and the agency in another state to create an individualized adoption plan to provide the services to best meet the needs of their adoption situation.
     
  • LSS has expertise in the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children* (ICPC) process both in Minnesota and nationally. We will help to plan for and facilitate this process for the family as appropriate.
