Metro Housing Options
This collaborative program of LSS, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Metropolitan Council, and Neighbor to Neighbor assists Section 8 recipients in locating housing in areas of increased opportunity for their families. We work individually with families to help them locate housing and become a part of their community.

According to the HOME Line report, of the 43,000 rental properties surveyed, less than 3,000 accepted Section 8 participants.

Over 150 rental property owners or managers have enrolled in the Metro Housing Options program, resulting in over 13,000 units available to Section 8 participants.

If you are a property owner or manager who would like more information about how you can become involved with the Metro Housing Options program, please contact our outreach office at (612) 879-5341.
