For Organizations

  • Adults financial education

    LSS Financial Education

Things worth learning – presented in a fun and accessible way

LSS offers workshops for every part of the community – high schools and youth programs, workplaces and conferences, community groups, colleges and universities, human services and treatment programs, housing programs and senior centers, churches and religious groups.

We come to you. In our experience, financial education works best in community settings where people can learn together and share the experience. All classes are taught by our expert LSS Financial Counseling – Conquer Your Debt® team. Financial education is important at all ages, and we will help make it come alive in whatever setting you invite us to.

  • How do I schedule a workshop?

Select a single workshop, offer a series, or a multi-session financial literacy class.
To schedule, email FinancialEd@lssmn.org or call Tonia Brinston at 612-879-5225

    How long do workshops last?

Individual workshops are planned for one hour, but can be adapted to fit any setting. We also offer a core financial literacy class with 4 sessions. Talk with us about your setting and the needs of your participants. We engage attendees from the yacht club to the homeless shelter

What is the fee for workshops?

There is no fee for attendees, but LSS charges a fee to the sponsoring group for each presentation. Our rate is $300 per workshop for nonprofit organizations and $500 per workshop for government or for-profit settings.  PLEASE NOTE: Financial education is an important part of our mission, so if cost is a factor, please talk to us. In certain cases, LSS receives grant funding and donations to be able to offer workshops at reduced rate or free.
