Ken Borle

Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Ken Borle was named Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in May 2005. He oversees finance administration, information technology, capital acquisition, property and risk management.

He’s a leadership steward of LSS’ $93 million annual budget, leading a staff of financial professionals supporting nearly 20 distinct lines of service.

When we get the job done, people develop confidence and they take pride in their work – that is pretty gratifying.”

A native of Staples, Minnesota, Ken received his Bachelor’s in Accounting and Business Administration from Moorhead State University and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas. He is a Certified Public Accountant.Prior to joining LSS, Ken served as the chief financial officer for Shoreview-based Ecumen (formerly the Board of Social Ministry), an organization serving older adults statewide through customized living facilities, nursing homes, home health care and other community-based programs.

Over his career, Ken has shared his expertise in nonprofit financial management as a guest instructor at the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management/Health Care Administration. He volunteers his time in the community with organizations such as Global Health Missions and Boy Scouts of America., and in 1996, received the “Get the Spirit” Award from the Minnesota Health and Housing Alliance. Ken is currently the chairman of the Lutheran Financial Managers Association.

Ken and his wife, Diane, reside in Forest Lake. They are members of Faith Lutheran Church where Ken serves on the Endowment, Finance and Kidabaga Partners in Christ committees.
